With its own representative office in Innsbruck, Banca di Trento e Bolzano was the first Italian bank to arrive in the Tyrol region, and the second in Austria alongside Sanpaolo IMI. In October 2005 the office was transformed into a branch offering full banking services in accordance with Austrian law. In the same year Banca di Trento e Bolzano opened another representative office in Dornbirn, in the Vorarlberg; that office was transformed into an operative branch in December 2006.
