Casablanca - Banque Marocaine du Commerce Extérieur

city Casablanca
RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS 30.10.1963
OPENING 1963
CLOSING 10.09.1991
description

Due to Morocco's nationalization of the branches of foreign banks, Banca Commerciale Italiana France (Comitfrance) was forced to transfer its own two branches (in Casablanca and Rabat) to Banque Marocaine du Commerce Extérieur, which had been founded in 1959.
In return, the Moroccan bank made Comitfrance a 16.66% stakeholder, a stake that was immediately transferred to Banca Commerciale Italiana so that it could operate in the country, supporting Italian parties interested in maintaining and further developing their relations and business affairs in Morocco.
