In 1940 BN made the decision to open a representative office in order to operate exclusively as a building society in Addis Abeba.
The office continued to operate up until 1953, when a decision was made to liquidate it. In 1970 it reopened as Banco di Napoli (Ethiopia) Share Company until the closing in 1973.
